Greenish sparkling and tinge on my MacBook Pro screen?

Update:10-11Source: network consolidation
Hey guys,
Over the past couple of weeks, I've been having a problem with the entire screen of my MacBook Pro internittently being covered with a greenish tinge. It doesn't happen all the time, and sometimes goes away depending on what I'm working on. Sometimes it'll be a few pixels of green here and there, followed by whole chunks of green over the screen, followed by a complete greening over the entire screen. It does not affect the performance of the computer at all, but it's really annoying and often won't go away unless I restart. What could be causing this? I have a 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.2. Could it be an overheated video card? Corrupted driver? Can anyone recommend any fixes?
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance!

I had this problem with my iMac G5.
What i did was
System Preference > Display
Under Resolutions default is set as 1440 x 900 just toggle it that is
click another number below then click the top one 1440 x 900.
Click the color tab don't do any thing there, click the display again.
Close System Preference.
Hope it works.
