Faulty Logic Card?

Update:11-30Source: network consolidation

While my PowerBook as greatly increased everything I do with computers, no device has ever given me so many problems.
2 * New Power Adapter
New Display
New Sound Card
New Hard Drive
And various other minor problems. Recently, my SuperDrive died and the screen starts going funny. It's out of warranty (yes, no AppleCare and yes, wish I had) and I've taken it down to the Apple store for the hundredth time to get it fixed. Whilst the cost of repairing the previous things hasn't been too bad, they now state that my screen needs a new logic board and to get it fixed along with the SuperDrive it's going to cost £1150 ($2300). May as well get a new one. Though I do have a question: The display was starting to degrade before it broke completely. When a moved the screen, the screen flashed white sometimes, and remained white when near the closed position. After a while, it broke completely, and the display was stuck at 800 x 600, with the screen having only every other row of pixels on, and the vertically, the screen repeated the image about 1.5 times. I'm thinking that this might not be a logic card problem, and that it's more likely to be frayed data cables from the logic board to the screen - I have heard of this happening quite often in PowerBooks (but not having results like mine), and the symptoms before the screen going seems to suggest this much. I've not really brought this up with the Apple store yet, I was just wondering what everyone else thought.
Thanks,
Robert
