Man, I liked your original response better. Hee.
Color bars...those color bars that you used to see when TV went off the air. OFF THE AIR! That's crazy talk. Hee...still used to calibrate the monitors to your tape. Tone should be at -20.
Black...typically there is a space of black between the color bars and the slate. 20 seconds or so.
Slate. NAME of the show, how long it is...stuff like that.
BLACK...more space.
Countdown...5-4-3-2BEEP. Then the show starts.
This is all stuff you need when outputtting a show to air on TV. If you aren't doing that, then you don't need any of these. Just uncheck them...except for Black. Good idea to have about 20 seconds or so of black, so that your show doesn't start right away.
Or you can hook up the camera and just press record on the camera then play on the timeline.
